As I'm sure you're all probably aware, the BBC has announced that Matt Smith will not be returning for another series of Doctor Who, and will be appearing in the 50th Anniversary Special and then the Christmas Special, where he will regenerate.
This is devastating news as I personally, and I'm not afraid to admit this, never used to like Matt. For his first two series, I still preferred David Tennant. But by the end of the second part of series 7, I finally began to realise how amazing he is as an actor.
Sadly, just as I made this realisation, the series ended and now Matt is leaving.
Whilst this is extremely sad news, I'm taking comfort in the fact he is leaving to star in more films, such as his latest one which he is filming, called "How To Catch A Monster". So whilst it's the end of his time the Doctor, it isn't the end of his career which still has a long way to go.
It's been a great few years, and I only wish I'd realised that sooner...
Goodbye Matt, and good luck!! <3
